VFW Post 7272 Scholarship Fund 2026
Accepting Applications: April 6, 2026 - June 30, 2026
Our post embraces the fundamentals of education via college, trade school, advanced training to include cosmetology classes or a certification program to achieve a license in your field of choice (plumber, carpenter, mechanic, etc).
Who is Eligible:
Scholarships will be available to children and grandchildren of current members of VFW Post 7272, Active or Retired Members in good standing and Employees of Post 7272 and Auxiliary Members. Each candidate is eligible to receive the scholarship award one time. Scholarship funding amount will be distributed based upon funding of availability from the VFW Post 7272 Scholarship Account.
Application Instructions:
VFW Post 7272 Scholarship Applications will be accepted from 6 April 2026 to 30 June 2026. All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee, the VFW Post Commander, VFW Quartermaster for verification of eligibility. The VFW members will vote on the approval of each application and the recipients will be notified. Fill out the attached application and email Completed Applications to: Margaret Johnson at lola2172@yahoo.com ; or can drop off completed applications at the Post: attention MJ FY26 Scholarship Fund.
Voice Of Democracy:
It is also recommended that each applicant submit their audio-essay for this scholarship. Participants will record their essays on patriotic themes on a flash drive and provide a written copy due by October 31st to VFW Post 7272 for the 2026-2027 cycle. The theme of the essay will be announced at an upcoming date later this year.
Target Audience:
VFW Post 7272 Scholarship will be submitted by Seniors of graduation school year 2026. Scholarship monetarizes will be awarded and granted for the 1 st Semester of School attending in September 2026.
Awards and Payment:
Once All applications have been received by 30 June 2026; they will be reviewed and presented to the members of the VFW Post 7272 for vote. Each applicant will be notified, and arrangements will be established to receive their issued Scholarship check. Recipients of the VFW Post 7272 Scholarship will be awarded the funding by 1 August 2026.
